I built a very large & detailed model of a B-1B Lancer. It comes loaded: power windows, bucket seats, AM/FM radio......just kidding. =) My problem is this: Although the landing gear can support the weight of the bomber, it is still quite fragile. (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.build)

(...) use a locking mechanism that will prevent the gear from being pushed up by the weight alone. (see 8480, or 8425 for some nicely done ones for just such purposes) got any pictures? :) (26 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.build)

To all who have an interest: I am in the process of developing an original minifig torso for anyone's law enforcement officer.
