  Re: Train nose-pieces

If you mean the bottom piece, I think black, grey and yellow are the only colors it has appeared in. If you mean the top piece I think black, white and grey are the only colors it has appeared in. note that White and Yellow are orphaned, neither has (...) (26 years ago, 2-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Legos get you into college

(...) Getting into medical school is quite different from getting through it. I couldn't care less how my doctor got in, as long as he has to get through it to the usual standards, and pass the same exams as everyone else. (26 years ago, 2-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: ldglite (ldlite for OpenGL and Linux) new stuff

(...) Actually the Windows version of LeoCAD takes 0.35 seconds to render on my P2 350 with a TNT card (the Linux version should be more a less the same speed). I don't use display lists, I use vertex buffers or CVA's if the driver supports it. (...) (26 years ago, 2-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Poor packaging by TLC (was: Has any one else noticed...)

(...) I too liked the 70's boxes. But they were no match for some of the very heavy early boxes from 1957-68. The European Town Plan sets (700, 810) were heavy wooden boxes. The USA/Canada Samsonite Town Plan (725) and Junior Constructor (717) were (...) (26 years ago, 2-Feb-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Legos get you into college

Yes, but note that they are not a technical college, and that they are doing this to recruit minority students to fill a quota. Would you want to be operated on by a medical doctor who got his degree based on how well he could assemble legos? John. (...) (26 years ago, 2-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

I've been thinking about possible uses for my transparent orange and transparent clear cannons, and, though I have not yet begun this project, I have an idea that may or may not prove to be a good one: I am thinking about building my own (...) I'm with Disney Adventures, the kids magazine, so I'm press.
