While up in the SF Bay Area over Chrismat I got a chance to visit the Niles Canyon Railway, with the help of Zonker. They had a Fairmont Speeder and a few trailers. The RR park near me in Powey also has one, and I'd been thinking of modeling one. O (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(URL) These caps have amazing storage capacity, but are rated at 2.5v and 3v surge. The series (...) (20 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.parts, FTX)

(...) What happens when you run it off 9V as you do? Is the capacitor getting overvoltage? Would this have an effect on long term durability? I had been thinking of playing iwth these to try to make a people mover using Racers track but without much (...) (20 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.parts, FTX)
