Ok, I guess we have to live with those treads every once an a while,
since TLC wouldn't release anything like the 'good old days'.
And since many of us here on lugnet have got multiple sets of the 'real'
technic, and also
spends alot of money to get the missing sets, and parts.
With all do respect, I think that the 'hardcore' technic fan, aren't looking
at the new sets today and thinks:
'This is a great set'. I recently bought the 8466, and I regret it, sure
there is a few great parts and some smart ways of thinking,
but for me, it was a total waste of money.
I think that $110 are way to much to spend just to get the wheels.
Beside of this, who needs to buy new lego anyway?
I mean we have bricklink, we have ebay, and also the other great private
marked places to get what we want, and as long as TLC dosn't see this, I
guess we can live happily, and buy secondhand, and still enjoy the good old
technic brick.
Its not the end of the world either, and hopefully TLC are getting to open
their eyes, I saw the good old Uss constellation on shop@home, so maybe we
are getting the old sets back.
Patience....
Oh please make all this RIP technic threads rest?
I guess the average lugnet user has more technic beams for a project than
the average legofan which is getting into technic today anyway, and we still
have many many parts to go on bricklink, so I really dont see the point, nor
where the end are!

| (...) Some folks perhaps... but 'many'? When I got back into LEGO as an adult I went on a buying frenzy. I bought not only assorted tubs and buckets, but also Technic sets and also parts packs from LEGO Shop @ Home Canada. And then...... it was as (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)
