I showed this earlier in the bricklug chat room but I thought I'd show it
here as well.

Very nice! I like the colour scheme.

Jon,

That's really cool.

Is it a space tug? Or some form of very light freighter..or..? :)

It's well laid out and as Mladen mentioned, the colors blend well together.

Thanks Joel. Actually Its supposed to be a kind of future truck. This
particular one looks to me like it would be one of the smaller trucks you
see driving around cities. The "trailer" holds some sort of toxic waste.

Yeah, I can see how any futuristic, dystopian society would need a
toxic-waste removal truck. ;-)

Hehe. That's cool - I wasn't thinking of it being a 'ground' vehicle,
really. In that respect it's really nice. An original idea!

As others have mentioned, the color scheme is great- you pull off the
randomized brown/greyscale color mixing far better than Lego does.  In fact,
it actually looks like it is supposed to be that way on this thing (yes,
that's a dig at the official SW sets and their color "schemes").

Nice detailing all over, especially on the top of the cab.

Um, and... what kind of camera do you use?  Those images are crystal clear,
even though the surroundings seem to imply non-ideal lighting.  And are you
shooting at a much higher resolution and then reducing the images?

Thanks! I think brown can be really cool for space creations. I really
like to use the log pieces to represent exposed layers of metal.

I'm using a Sony Cybershot DSC 50. (story time: I bought my parents a
Mavica FD95 online for $750  for christmas. Didn't think it was right
for them and I tried to return it to Best Buy. They don't carry it so
I go to Comp USA and returned it there for $1000. With the store
credit I bought a DSC 30 for them and a DSC 50 for me ...I know I know
but they won't even use theirs.... My change was 6 cents.)
You were right aout the poor lighting. Just a 60 watt bulb. I took the
pics close up with the Macro function with the flash on the low
setting. The first 4 pics were shot at 1600x1200 and then reduced. The
rest were just shot at 640x480.
I like this camera a lot. Even under these conditions it takes good
pictures. With good lighting it looks even better. And the 640x480
pics (the camera's lowest quality) even look good.

(pounding head) No!  No!  This is what happens when I don't build fast
enough!  I had an idea for an extremely similar vehicle I call the "Space
Truck".  Basically, a cockpit from the Slave 1 attached to 2 horizontal arms
(in rear) that would lock onto cargo, ships, etc, and move them from Point A
to Point B.  I was going to make several of them, and designate as general
service vehicles, with optional weaponry.  But you built it first!  Oh well.
Still, whenever I do get it built, I would like to make it clear that I AM
NOT copying.  Anyway, it's a pretty cool ship, especially with all the
points for attaching stuff, and the interesting figure.  Cool model!
