I found this set on clearance at a couple Radio Shacks in California today.
It’s now 50% off the original price of $79.99.

One thing to note: the version of the RC receiver supplied in this set is not
the same as the one in the 8475 RC Buggy. The 8376 receiver doesn’t have the
auxillary output found on the 8475 receiver as mentioned in these posts:

Still, for $40 you can’t go wrong. You get the transmitter, receiver, two
powerful technic motors, some nice wheels
& tires and a smattering of Technic
parts.
Stores near me still have a decent stock on hand, so get’em while the gettin’s
good... :-)
