For those in the Charlotte, NC area, I found this in yesterdays Charlotte

Charlotte's first giant Lego Menorah will be constructed Tuesday (Dec.7),
the first night of Hanukkah, in SouthPark mall near the fountain. The building
begins at 4 p.m., with a menorah lighting at 6 p.m. Donuts and drinks will be
served.

Yep, NCLUG was caught a little out of range, as the primary core of members (at
this time anyways) are in the Raleigh/Durham Area, 3 hours away. But we plan to
have a presense (4 R/D and 2 to 3 from the Charlotte are) there tomorrow with
some great models to show off!
And Erik was at Brickfest 2 years ago and showed off his work with Star Wars and
comic-related models - some really cool stuff! I'm looking forward to seeing him
again.

their own Lego creations for Varszegi to evalutate.--
Rather short notice, seeing as it starts in 2 hours, but hopefully this will be
in time to serve as a 'heads up' for some folks in the Charlotte NC/SC area.

Just to let all you know, in case you didn't already know. Lego just opened a
new mall kiosk at the Northwoods Mall in North Charleston. Nothing new that I
saw though.

Hello fellow SC-Luggers. I've decided to get out of the Lego selling business.
I'm looking for some one person to buy up my inventory. I thought I'd ask here
first as I can deliver it in person and save us shipping hassels. Contact me for
details and a set list, OK.
As for the reason I just don't have time any more to keep up, slow economy,
proliferation of online sellers, etc...

My kids were trying out for All County Band today.
If I had known, I would have gone.
If you hear of anything else in SC, lmk and we can make plans.
BTW, the family loved the LUGnet T-shirts I got from you at BF-2002 :-)
LMK if you are ever going to be in Charleston!

Everyone,
I am proud to announce the first ever All Southeast LEGO Display! The All
Southeast LEGO Display is a public AFOL event with MOCs of all kinds with a
primary focus on LEGO Trains. The display will feature the best MOCs built
by the members of the NGLTC, GFLTC, GFLUG and others. The event will take
places at the Great American Train Show in Jacksonville, Florida, February 2
and 3, 2002. Anyone in the area is invited to join in and add to the
display. Anyone who help out will get into the event for free and/or be
compensated in some way, it all depends on how many people join in. Display
space is limited, so respond as soon as possible, I will need to set aside
spaces for you. More information on this event to come...

I will be in Miami for New Years and driving home to Raleigh NC the 1st
and 2nd of January. I'd love the opportunity to visit with folks on the
way back. If you're along the I-95 corridor and will be around then, let
me know and perhaps we can make an arrangement. I'd also welcome the
opportunity for crash space. My goal will be to get within at least
10-11 hours of Raleigh on the 1st.
I am also taking the 3rd (and possibly the 4th) off, so with the right
convincing, I could explore other possibilities (such as Atlanta).

Mark and Melissa sent me an e-mail which
I somehow managed to delete.
Also, Cary Clark sent me an e-mail on another
subject which also seems to have been deleted.
I'm begging to feel hesitant about using the
web mail to delete since there's no undelete...
If you have something you sent me in the last
couple of daysm perhaps you should resend it
because maybe I deleted it without even realizing.

I'm going to be visiting my Mom in St. Petersburg Florida for the
holiday but I'm planning on starting back Friday and have been
considering stopping to visit on the way, even considering driving
through Atlanta or so. Or I may just drive all the way back Friday and
do something locally.
So, if anyone between here and there is interested in doing something
Friday or Saturday, let me know.

After much debate, I picked up one of these from a Walmart here in Nevada.
They still had quite a few on the shelves, but when the clerk went to scan
the price, the register said the item was not for sale. Lucky for me the
clerk must have been new and just manually entered the price...
Just thought I would throw my two cents into the discussion,
Steve

It is strange that all of this started in SC. I was just in Toys R Us and
Zany Brainy last night, and both stores still had plenty of the sets still
on the shelves.
