Hi, everyone...
A documentary called Lovemarks-LEGO will be broadcast for the first time this
weekend. I was originally told it was going to be a full-length film about
peoples passions towards brands like LEGO, IKEA, Starbucks (etc), but it seems
it has been shortened to a half hour and will deal only with LEGO. (Maybe?)
Lovemarks - LEGO
Channel 51, Horizon
Saturday September 30th
8:30 p.m. (20:30)
Hong Kong
The documentary was filmed by Fuji TV in Hong Kong, but it may also run in other
countries that have Fuji TV, or on extended satellite networks.
Last year, the filmmakers filmed a live
model-build and interviewed both Nathan Sawaya and I as part of the
documentary. They said theyd also interviewed other folks around the world,
including folks from TLG.

Well, after recieving an email from John Barnes with a pic of a Shinkansen, I
decided that I had to have a go at one. Wanting a quick build I decided to go
for the 700T the Taiwanese released Shinkansen. See it
here.

Sorry, theres no high quality render this time. MPD available on request.
Hope you like it and please give me feedback.

Hi guys,
I'm so glat to find this local group for Taiwan. I can hardly believe that
you two had posted here 2 years ago!
I have news to update. There is a "web-based" message board
with lots discussion in Yahoo! Kimo now.
The URL is http://tw.club.yahoo.com/clubs/TaiwanLegoFans/
I do like the folks, however, I hate to use web-based message board.
I prefer to use news group because we can pos/read articles more easily.
I used to read news group by using Outlook express.
In fact, I'm thinking may be we can post by using "Chinese"
(No matter "traditional Chinese" or "simplified Chinese).
After all, it's a LOCAL group :P

Hi, Charles
I think I have the same situation as you, but there are some sets
selled in Shnaghai, not so expensive like taiwan, for example,
8462=RMB1117(about $135). I made a page (legozang.go.163.com) to
introduce LEGO MINDSTORMS for people in China, but there is not alot of
fan like in Taiwan.
Although I am working in Tokyo, here are lot of afns, but the LEGO sets are
also rare in Tokyo.
I hope we can exchange our experience and works.

Hard to believe I am the first one posting message here. No wonder LEGO
sell most of the products here as double the price in the USA!
I own both Mindstorms RIS 1.0 and 1.5. The RIS 1.5 was purchased from
the States. I always have problems to get accessories in Taiwan. LEGO
Taiwan Branch won't sell service packs and extra parts like motors and
sensors. The worst thing is that LEGO Worldshop was down for several
months. Does anyone have any suggestions for poor LEGO fans in Taiwan
like me?
Thanks,
Charles
