Well for those who could not make it, I'll write a quick summary :)

Saturday, 8th June

11am Town Hall - Kerry and I went on the search to find those who would be
meeting us to go on our shopping meet. We meet up with Richie and then Keith
(who meets us again later that day), Michael & Tara. ToyWorld was first up
then off to Myer in the Myer Centre.  The 2nd Toyworld also in the Myer
Centre, then off to meet Ross.

Lunch time was up next and we went for a stroll over to South Bank to do the
touristy thing.  Sat down, ate our kebabs and what-not (watched Ross make a
mess of himself ;), then Kerry and Tara nicked off back to the Myer Centre
and where the cars were parked to later meet us at the end of South Bank.

While they were gone we decided that I take them through the rest of the
park and ended up in part of the Market area where the guys spotted some
'Shif*ty' and 'Brick' stuff, the stuff ya might have been hearing about
lately if you have read other segments of Lugnet.  These are the sets that
are available from Hongkong and China.

Onwards to Garden City where Keith was waiting.  Through Toys 'R' Us, Big W,
K-Mart - A few specials were located in TRU and some of the Soccer sets with
the bonus bus, in BigW which there are now no more left ;)

After leaving G.City, we swung around to the Toyworld which was on the way
back to the city.  Then off to Kangaroo Point to show the guys some
Beautiful Brisbane Scenery and Glorious Views ;) - Killed some time then off
to the Casino for Dinner.  Aaron and Megan met us with us there and later
James arrived, as he just flew in not long before (and for the 1st time ;) -
spent a few hours there and then off to Mt Coot-tha to see some scenic
views... in the mist and rain *ahem*... it's now past 10 something pm and
time to hit the sack for the next big day :)

Sunday, 9th June

10am Indooroopilly Hotel -  Kerry and I set off to the Hotel to set up and
arrange our stuff... gradually, everyone arrived and set their stuff up for
display or to get the Brikwars stuff happening.  Lugnetters and vistors came
and went (well a few of the visitors came and went).  I made some badges for
those who attended, so everyone could recongnise each other and for them to
take something home from our meet... oh and how wonderful was that? ;)

The attendee's of the day were: Ross Crawford (VIC), Peter Curby (VIC),
Richard Parsons (NSW), Kevin and Andrea Hall (NSW), James Howse (NSW),
Richie Dulin (NSW), Kerry Raymond (QLD), Peter and Ben Parsons (QLD), Mark
Harrison (QLD), Zac Soden (QLD), Jeff T (QLD), Gary Quinlan (QLD), Me (QLD),
Aaron and Megan (QLD), Michael and David (QLD), Ken Wilson (QLD), Tim
(QLD?), Francis? (QLD), Tristian (QLD), Steven (QLD), Matthew (QLD), Keith
and Daughter (QLD), other people who came along were Ross's rellies and
Kerry's Husband, David, and others who I never really got a chance to meet
or came with other people above...

Brikwars was played, battled and enjoyed by many from what we could tell
from the table in the middle of the room ;) - Aaron made a buck or two (or a
whole pocket full more like it) from his sales, trades and other stuff went
up for grabs...

I made an announcement to welcome all the visitors and everyone to the day
and that a suprise would be announced later...

Displays were poked at and drooled over, Ross brought his Cranes and stuff,
Richard his *AHEM* MB Castle... Kerry and Her glorious display of
everything, including her prize winning Church ;), Richie and his Prize
winning Snottler :P, Michael and his Pirate fantasy Island :), Zac and his
craft, Mark and his Znap gear, Kevin and his Dragon and castleish stuff,
Aaron and his Fire vehicles, Peter/Gary and their train stuff, Ken and his
goodies, someone who made the Lego logo mosaic, Tristian? and his cute
little robotic piece... James and his Brickwars stuff and I brought along my
not-yet-finished shopping Complex. Did I get everyone?

Ya know guys, I have to say one thing... next time, MB should be banned
;)... MB = no entry! lol

Later we ate lunch and sat around the large table and just relaxed, then
back to Brikwars and trades etc... Later I announced the special secret ;)
ozBricks Competition, that no-one had a clue about :P - Michael kindly
donated two Red Beard Runners as prizes for our day.

Two winners were to be chosen, everyone had to have their name next to their
stuff and then go choose two people/displays to come back to me with their
'A' and their 'B', this was done quietly so no-one else could find out who
they chose... it was kinda cool knowing who were the winners and no-one else
did ;)  of course my stuff had to excluded as goes the rules... not that it
was anything spectacular anyway...

Everyone was told that the two winners would be announced later on
www.ozBricks.com and you can find them there if you haven't figured them out
already :)

Before the day was over we all got in for a quick snap, which hopefully can
be viewed later on.  Pack up time and off to go see the Train stuff that
Peter and Gary had set up at Peter's house... Watched the Trains go around
and around and the guys become little kids once again ;P

Time to go home... I was bushed and I'm sure the others were too!
Especially from me going to bed that morning at 5:30am and waking at 7:30am
:P  Thankgoodness the next day was Monday!

Everyone from Interstate it was a long way to come, but so great to see and
meet you all & to my fellow QLDers, thankyou for coming and I hope you all
had a Glorious time!  Hope you all got home safe and sound and that your
Lego survived too :)

Also Special Thanks to Kerry for helping me out with organising,
transportation and ideas... She's a Cool Cat!  >''<

Can't wait for the next one!  I will be there with bells on :P  Where shall
it be?  Melbourne? Tasmania? Adelaide? Sydney? New Zealand? :P

Take care

Mel
