Bring Your Minifig To Work Day —Todd Lehman
Bring Your Minifig To Work Day is coming up soon -- I think it's supposed to be on Friday, December 11 this year. That date also happens to be Mike Stanley's birthday, and he agreed a few months ago to accept a collection of minifigs by mail and (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Bring Your Minifig To Work Day —Mike Stanley
(...) Sure, I'm still willing to do it. :) It would give me an excuse to take my digicam to work and snap a bunch of shots. (25 years ago, 30-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Bring Your Minifig To Work Day —Mike Stanley
(...) If I weren't concerned about possible loss I'd take them with me to the opening night of Star Trek: Insurrection as well. :) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

Don't send them in envelopes (Re: Bring Your Minifig To Work Day) —James Seibert
A heartfelt plea, ---Warning---, I am a technician that has worked on Postal machinery. The Postal service uses machines to sort their mail and would crush and mangle the minifigs. Normal flat letters are okay, but a minifig would catch in the belts (...) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Don't send them in envelopes (Re: Bring Your Minifig To Work Day) —Todd Lehman
(...) Mmm, good point. Maybe turn a small LEGO box inside-out, and put another one inside that and use $.55 postage x2 ? Or how about a bubble-pad envelope -- are those safe? --Todd (25 years ago, 30-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Don't send them in envelopes (Re: Bring Your Minifig To Work Day) —James Seibert
(...) A bubble pad envelope is fine, because it is thicker ( greater than a 1/4") and machines can't process it. I know the postage is more, but piece of mind is better. (25 years ago, 1-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Don't send them in envelopes (Re: Bring Your Minifig To Work Day) —Christopher L. Weeks
(...) I've sent elements - but not minifigs - in a normal envelope with no crushing blows. Under what circumstances is this an issue with which to be concerned? (25 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Bring Your Minifig To Work Day —Todd Lehman
(...) Huhhhh-whooah! You mean I could send my favorite minifig to Star Trek: Insurrection?! Oh, man, he wants to go!!! How about if I indemnify you against loss? --Todd (25 years ago, 30-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: '99 Bring Your Minifig To Work Day —Michael Huffman
(...) Sorry, Todd, I just read your post about it, (URL) all for the second Friday in Dec, unless it falls on a local-national holiday (ie. Dec. 8th, the holiday Mario mentioned)... or the 3rd Monday of the month... --Mike. (24 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: '99 Bring Your Minifig To Work Day —Todd Lehman
(...) Well, there's no official sanctioning body deeming it one way or the other, but I plan to celebrate it on the 10th (this Friday).
