This is nothing short of amazing! As soon as I saw the initial pictures of this
a week or so ago all that was running through my mind was...'please be real'.
After seeing this on S@H tonight I am so thrilled. We've been waiting for a
good steam locomotive to come out for years and here it is. I will certainly be
grabbing as many of these as I can afford. What a great start to the new PF
line of trains. With something like this kicking off the line...what other cool
things could be in store for us.
On a related note, the rumored 'flex track' idea (as shown in the new 'Temple of
Doom' set) looks quite intriguing. I will be interested to see if the track is
actually flexible (i.e. the user can form it) or whether the flexibility is just
in manufacturing allowing TLG to easily provide different track geometries out
of the same mold.
Anyway...back to the 'Emerald Night'. The colors, the design, the larger (dare
I say BBB) wheels...it's all just amazing. Between this, Pirates, Star Wars,
Space Police, and Castle...this is going to be a very expensive year.
