Scans from new danish 2004 catalog —Kecia Hansen
Hi, I did some scans of the upcoming Ferrari Racers and Spider-Man sets featured in the new Danish January - May 2004 catalog. See them here: (URL) (20 years ago, 31-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) Yes. They are to be released in April. The Spider-Man sets are to be released in May. Kecia (20 years ago, 31-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) No. Only the ad, which translated says: Here are the all new LEGO(R) Harry Potter(TM) products, available from May 2004... (...if you can't see them, you are a Muggle!) So no HP images before the next catalog comes out... Kecia (20 years ago, 31-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Scans from new danish 2004 catalog —Ray Sanders
(...) Is it the printing, the scan or my monitor... but that HP minifig appears to have flesh toned head and hands ?? Previous HP figs were standard LEGO yellow I thought. Ray (20 years ago, 31-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Scans from new danish 2004 catalog —Kecia Hansen
(...) Yes, you are right. Previous HP figs were yellow. This new one has a different skin colour (unless the catalog is badly printed, but I don't think so). The same colour is applied at least to some of the Spider-Man figs as well. Kecia (20 years ago, 31-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

New Skin Tones coming? (was: Re: Scans from new danish 2004 catalog) —John Neal
(...) Wow, if they are starting to produce a new skin tone, that is huge news in my book! I am astonished.             Re: New Skin Tones coming? (was: Re: Scans from new danish 2004 catalog) —Matthew Miller
(...) Minifigs are one of the huge appeal of Lego, at least to people from my generation. (The first sets I had had the armless variety.) Mucking with that doesn't seem like a great idea to me either. (20 years ago, 2-Feb-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: New Skin Tones coming? (was: Re: Scans from new danish 2004 catalog) —Tim Courtney
(...) I've had mixed feelings about this, but now I am prepared to welcome the changes. While I love yellow minifigs, I believe having the chance to see skin-toned figures will enhance the realism of the LEGO line. -Tim (20 years ago, 2-Feb-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: New Skin Tones coming? (was: Re: Scans from new danish 2004 catalog) —Matthew Miller
(...) I question the need to "enhance" the realism. The Lego world is its *own* very special and unique realism.
