Temporarily available: 52 MB MPEG LEGO Castle animation

This animation was handed to me by a student. It was made by friends of him.
I'd like to credit the authors but don't know their names yet. Because of
the large file, this will be on my site only for the time being.

Don't get confused by the fake 'Danish' commercial at the start.

(...) Unbelievable! Thanks so much for hosting this incredible animation for the moment. We simply must find someone to store this file permanently. Kevin Loch? Nice touch of gold tiles and "Lego-Lars" Drool well, Andreas (URL) (24 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

Eric, (...) Wow, that is so cool! The way the castle constructed itself, the minifigs, just awesome. I could see a three or four hour movie with each theme. Awesome! If anyone wants to see it, I can send it to them. It is a bugger to download. Scott (...) (24 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) LOL that is a real good show. Any B5 fan will have a kick with the music. LEGO should take note - this is now commericals and how LEGO SETS should be made - piece by piece not burp by burp. (24 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

B I G H A I R Y W O W ! ! ! Although with the extreme production values employed with the visuals I'm surprised they ripped the score... it did make for nice emphasis on brick-landings however. K.M. (24 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

I like it! In a ideal work, Lego would do one of these for every set.... it would help bring the themes alive for kids! BTW 1 : Is the "dead head" made by TLG? BTW 2 : Lego is ideal for this sort of animation, as the elements do not flex as they (...) (24 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) I wish I wish I wish I WISH I had a sound card here at work... But the animation was amazing! Did anyone else notice the mistake on the blue shield above the entrance (Right hand side)? The texturemap of the blue shield image was off-center (...) (24 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

  Mirrored and Recompressed

I've mirrored this on my site in the US at: (URL) also put a recompressed version there that is less then half the file size. It is more heavily compressed then the original, and only has 8 bit mono sound compared to the original 44khz 16 bit stereo (...) (24 years ago, 6-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

I downloaded this beast. It took 4 tries - the first one ran out of disk space (I had no idea I was so low), then next 2 attempts got disconnected after about 75% of the way. Finally, I finished it this morning. I can put it on disc and bring it to (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.org.us.baylug)
