| | | | | DVD Receipients,
It is important to every director and producer to receive feedback about their
project. It is also important for every viewer to get a sense from others that
have viewed a film what they thought about it.
So I propose to start a thread by which people can respond with their input
about the Commemorative DVD Project. What do you like about it. What do you hate
about it. No response will be to small or petty to be reasonably appreciated
here, so post away.
Please be aware there are two areas to post to this thread, a positive and a
negative side.

For a homebrewed DVD, this is excellent work. It also has a longer run time than
I anticipated. A big plus. Loved the music. Especially the Tangerine Dream
tracks that I recognized immediately. I own over 100 of their albums on 12" disc
and CD's. I have also seen them in concert several times in Detroit, Chicago,
and New York.
The strange thing is, while you were producing the DVD, I thought to myself that
Tangerine Dream would be excellent background music for the space themes. And
there it was.
I hope you will have extras to order so I can give a few to family and friends.
This DVD is well worth the price of addmission and then some.
NICE JOB.

Todd, thank you so much!!! This project was well worth the wait. I have thoroughly enjoyed the DVD you have produced, it's well done. I found myself savouring the moment of BrickFest all over again, and smiling and laughing about certain little events that this disk refreshed my memory about. I want to thank you for going to all the effort as well as thank the people that agreed to allow their photographs to be used for this project. Personally my favourite parts are the time lapsed photography and speed montages. For me, it was cool to see my own MOCs in a compilation with so many fine builders MOC's, what a treat. Also since I never seemed to manage to take any photos of that event, it's great to have this as a memento. Excellent work, and thank you. I know I will use this DVD to prove to my Non-AFOL mates that *I'm* not the only one with a brick obsession.
Sincerely entertained,
Janey "Red Brick"
P.S. On a personal note, I was surprised that when viewing the MOC shots, I
missed details at the real event that were caught on camera. That was a real
bonus for me. Although, I'm bummed that my "salute" never made the hard copy.
Oh well, can't say I didn't give it my best effort!

I got my DVD. I haven't watched the whole thing, yet. I only spent an hour or
so watching it. There are a LOT of pictures.
The movie is very cool. Thanks for adding that.
All those menus look very nice.
I have one suggestion for next time. There is a "people" section, with pictures
of builders. I saw many of them, but, I suck with names, so I have no idea who
most of those people are. It would be really cool to have names listed under
the pictures, to help put names with faces.
I hope there are no legal issues with me showing this at a FLL event this
weekend. There's usually a big lull between the last round and the awards
(while they're scoring) and I know the teams will enjoy the pictures.
If there are legal issues, please just forget I mentioned it...

Todd, maybe by next year I will have an efficient way of taking pictures of all
the name badges and you could use them as captions.

I wasn't able to attend myself but this DVD was an good substitute.
The movies especially were great! To see the mindstorms competitions
would probably rank as the high-light of the DVD and "Alabama Jones"
was fantastic. Am I implying correctly from elsewhere that there were
more movies like it and Spiderman2 at Brickfest that couldn't be put
on the DVD? I would loved to have seen them. Kudos to YelloWink
and to Todd and others whose efforts went into making this DVD.

The easter-egg section of the DVD is proving difficult to find. Todd, how does
one unlock the nudity-riddled "unrated" version?
