Hello .castlers and other connoisseurs of fine home furnishings,

I have made the beds. Not earth-shattering news, of course, but it’s something at least...and it’s a good use for the down from the ducks we’ve been discussing recently.

I’ve been working on a tudor style building for some time now, but time and space to work are in short supply. Meanwhile the beds are complete, so I thought I’d, um, share them, well, the design that is... Stop looking at me like that. Here, look at this picture instead:

And, another picture, and the post-mod gallery, whish contains all three pictures.

So, these are a sort of teaser for the whole building, which should be complete soon, I hope, space permitting...

“So, How do you like my featherbed and how do you like my sheets...”

Peace and feathers

Professor Whateverly

PS. I posted to a few threads that I thought were relevant, but kept the followup to .castle. Let me know if this doesn’t make sense...

“So, How do you like my featherbed and how do you like my sheets...”

Very much, though I fail to get the possible joke in this line ;)

They are excellent, looking much more detailed than the beds I usually out in my houses, 6*4 in solid bricks, and a 2*4 slope or roof top brick as a pillow. Those 2*2 flat knobs sure are good for a lot of things.

I like the varitations in design as well, I imagine one could be quite creative ornaments-wise with your design.

Ah, no joke this time, it’s actually a reference to the song Matty Groves, a lovely little murder and adultery ballad by Fairport Convention. It’s the sort of thing that I find perfect for putting me in a mediæval frame of mind.

Thank you very much.

Funny you should mention that. The next morning I woke up with more variations in my head. After a sequence of life, work, building, life, work, photography, life, work, work, work, image editing, my how time flies, uploading, they are ready for your edification and/or enjoyment.

More beds:

From left to right: The Single; The Standard Four-Poster; The Huntsman; The Royal Deluxe.

I may have to open a shop... Here’s the updated gallery.

Peace and a good knight’s sleep

Very nice! I like the use of 1x4 log pieces and I love the pillows. Great!

Thank you for your kind words.

Very nice work.

I'm always trying out new bed designs in The Brick Testament, and these are some
of the nicest designs I've come across.

Here's to excellence in minifig scale furnishings.
