For the most part I've just been flying under the radar in .mecha...you know
lurker mode. I still check all the models out though I usually don't post.
However, at the urging of a friend I'm posting my latest Bionicle moc here
<http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=126785>
It's another study of organic Lego. Here's some of the text from my BZP post:
"I've been trying to build these open organic type models. I've dubbed the style
"weaving" from something ThraxisJr said once, that building Bionicle is like
weaving. Though how he knows what weaving is like is anyone's guess.
Anyhoo I'm trying to make a semi ridgid skeletal structure and "skin" that
rather than building out from a solid structure (like a Toa body). I know the
end result is somewhat messy looking but I'm pushing myself to build a bit more
free flow. Also I'm gearing up to make something larger which will need to be
lighter as well. I'm hoping this open type style will help me."
