Well, so this it. My fifth Mobile Platform. Sigh, I wish I was more excited,
but after almost four years of building them I feel like moving on to
something different.

Aha! But that's what the year 2004 is for; a new objective for me to find. A
new concept. I hope it will be as well received as my Mobile Platforms were
on LUGNET. I will try my hardest to not let you guys down, or myself for that
matter. :-D

BTW, I'm definitely going to build something else during the remaining two
weeks of the holiday break, so if this mecha doesn't strike your fancy, well
then you'll have something to look forward to.

Enjoy.

   Mladen,

This is another absolute triumph in 'mech design, no doubt about it.
I agree with everyone on the joy of the details--the sensor pod/mast,
the measured utilitarian "ugliness" that screams of military function,
and all the attention put into both greeblies and the elimination of
   visible studwork on the exterior.

My favorite details have to be the color balance, the "toes," and that
adorable (!!) chin gun, though.  The combination of aesthetic and
function just keeps me looking again and again.  It's so clearly stable,
massive, and functional that it adds to the beauty of the critter.

   A couple of questions:

I noticed you had one shot with the cockpit roof taken off; is that
designed to be removeable, or was it a partial disassembly for the
   purposes of photography?

Are the turrets on the nose segment (the four vertically traversing
ones and that spiffy little chin model) simply on Technic friction,
or (as I hope!) mounted with 2x2x2 click socket blocks and pin plates?
I just get the impression that everything which moves gives a nice,
   satisfying "click," is all.

Whatever you decide to turn your attentions to next will no doubt be
another step forward--I look forward to seeing it, and until then,
I'll just drool all over my monitor until then.

   best

   LFB
