Completely not inspired by Land of the Living Dead, I present my latest madcap experiment in putting bricks together, the Meridiani Planum Nuclear Facility, a moonbase module overrun by zombies.

BRAAIIINNNSS!!!

The half circle structure, the crack in the white dome, the zombie concept--I LOVE IT! I’m assuming this one’s coming to Brickfest?

Really great model! Made me stop for a couple of minutes in order to check everything out in detail. The semi-round front wall of the main building and the round structures of the cooling tower and the reactor dome are eye-catchers already, but the breach in the reactor hull, the leaking glowing cooling fluid and all the zombies crawling around gives this model its special kick. Nice details everywhere you look, too. Those atomium in front of the building - pretty cool. By the way, good color scheme - makes me almost want to live there for a while, except for all the radiation and the undead company ;)

OMG is THIS what you were referring to at CSF when you said ‘My latest MOC would be perfectly at home even on a train layout with only a few modifications?’

LOL!

BTW nice plagiarism of the resident evil plotline ;-) I’m really liking this and the general zombie chaos. This would make a perfect companion to Keith Goldman’s zombie survival guide dio. Nice job!

Yup. See my post here for the call for more zombies to contribute to the fun.

This’ll be the zombiest Brickfest ever!

His zombies were my inspiration, though I limited to less minifig heads than he did. And I must say I sure do love the Bramsphere generator. I’m not sure I could’ve made the atom without it.

I plagiarised the resident evil plotline? Huh, how about that. Game or movie?

Movie, minus a FEW things.Let’s see... You have the sterile lab atmosphere gone bad; the zombies (VERY important) but no zombie dogs or mutant monster. And no dubious ending either (and that’s a good thing) ;-)

Oh, that is *wonderful*! My son and I are trying to make a simple first Moonbase module to brgin to Brickfest, and he’s going to love this one. On second thought, how do I explain “night of the living dead” to a seven-year-old? No, bad idea... “they’re just very strongly motivated enviromentalists, son”. Yeah, that’ll work... I love the crack in the containment. But the name is off by (currently) slightly over 1 AU...

Moon Zombies!? This is truly a frightening glimpse at a possible future. Where is “Dead Reckoning” when you need it? Well done, especially the curved building, I find the lack of interiors inspiring. This is madcap indeed.
