How ironic to launch on the day when 9V is declared dead...
Still Im happy to see the release of the first issue. Ive been looking forward
to it ever since I spotted the first picture on Brickshelf back in April. Does
this mean the forum on the site will also go live one of these days?

9V is not dead, believe me. In my club, some guys exhibits large 12V layouts!!
TLC discontinue 9V, but the community for sure will support it for long.

I hope so. I cant say for sure it will - Im not the webmaster, just a simple
contributor of the magazine as you may become tomorrow. Jeramy is busy right now
with some personnal business (happy business) but my guess is that he will reply
to you later.

All I can really say is...WOW! A whole E-Zine dedicated to LEGO Trains! Ive
been waiting for something like this for a few years now and its finally a
reality. The first issue looks amazing. I have to admit I havent had a chance
to properly absorb it yet, but I might find some time over lunch today. :-)
From what I saw, you guys are doing it right. Lots of great articles and really
capturing the pulse and passion of the LEGO Train community.
After quickly browsing through, I am very excited to read the Track Bed
article. Ive been looking for information on track beds for a long time and
here it is. :-)
Thanks for taking the time to put this together. Great work...simply great!

Hi Ronald!
Thanks for the compliments.
It may seem a bit ironic that the release of the first issue coincided with the
9V announcement, but it was by accident, really. I had planned to launch the
magazine two weeks ago, but was then asked to hold the fisrt release so that the
announcement could be included.
The Railbricks team has discussed the idea of having a forum on the website, but
felt that there were other websites that were better suited to have train
forums, such as here on lugnet, or eventually ILTCO.

Thanks for putting this together. I sat down last night and read it cover to
cover. I really enjoyed the articles that discussed building techniques and
ideas, and it was fun to see a layout article done Model Railroader style.
Looking forward to the next issue.

Wow - I love the idea of using caterpillar/tank type track pieces for the sides
of modern American car carriers as seen on page 31!! :-O
If I still had a train layout, I would borrow that design and go on a spending
spree on Blink to build at least 3 or 4 of them in Trailer Train yellow and ATSF
red or BN green schemes!
Great mag all around and kudos to all of you who made it - the links are great
and the large number of ideas and inspirational pictures is sure to motivate
quite a few fledging train engineers! :-)

WOW! My deepest thanks to the contributors and authors for sharing your ideas
and instructions! And to Jeremy and the Think Tank for the idea of the PDF
distribution, their perserverance, and sheer publishing craftsmanship that went
into issue #1. It is beautiful, as well as being packed with great pictures and
useful ideas!
I hope there are further issues, but I can only imagine the time and effort that
went into this one. I cant find a place to subscribe/donate for the effort.
Youve certainly all done a Quality job on this one.
Thanks, and best regards,
Zonker

I received my copy from lulu.com last week. The printing is definitely on par
with magazine quality. And well worth the price to hold a copy on your hands.
Jeramy and the rest of the staff did an awsome job putting RailBricks together.

Lulu. com is pretty nice. The paper stock is a thicker matte stock than magazine
stock, and the cover is a cover (thicker) stock.
The print quality is very nice, much better than inkjet.

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | I know this is late, however, I just wanted to let you know that I downloaded
the issue and I think its really wonderful. I am looking forward to seeing more
fantastic interviews with some of the communities great train folks.
Good luck and thanks for the great read!

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Ill say: Im impressed. Really. A lot!
Fantastic issue - my congratulations. Though I fear my kids and my lack of spare
time will cut short any effort to achieve similar building success, I like a lot
of the ideas I am getting from this issue.
Thanks - Im looking forward to more of this.
Regards,
Jerry
