Perhaps rather than removing (or editing) the posts, the posts containing
potentially offensive verbage should be quarantined. That is, insert a warning
page in front of the post indicating that the moderators have determined that it
might contain offensive language and to proceed at your own risk. Similarly, the
method that shows 'Canceled' posts in a summary could show 'Quarantined'. I
would think that the average joe/jane user should be able to recommend posts
which need to be quarantined to the admins. That might take some of the burden
off the admins having to check/moderate each and every post.
