  Sproket is Science Fantasy!

That's right not steampunk, not fantasy and not science fiction. It's not retro-future because it's from a past that never happened and on worlds with magic and goblins, pirates, space-aliens and super intelligent lizard people! It's John Carter on (...)   Re: WW2 era Steam powered airship

(...) Thanks. It's odd, but the nature of SHIPs are always that they appear much much larger in person than in pictures. This airship is over 6.5 feet long, but the pictures just don't show it. As for the inspiration, you're right. This is drawing (...) (17 years ago, 28-Dec-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: Jormungand Carrier Strike Craft

(...) Okay, think Crimson Skies and imagine the grapple or hook system you find in the blimps. Something along those lines might work. Do you remember the scene from "Aliens" with the dropship? Then a grapple system which captures the fighter and (...) (20 years ago, 5-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

The movie is good but a little disjointed at times. However, it isnt exactly Crimson Skies on the big screen. It has all the elements of one but it doesn't put it into cohesive aerial cinema. The imagery is really good, though with a 50's style (...) (20 years ago, 14-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Crimson Skies MOC - Tomahawk

The Tomahawk looks like a lot of fun. I mean, its overpowered, maneuverable, and fairly well armed, what more could you want? It definitely has an interceptor feel to it. I really like the huge engine, and the color scheme is quite stylish. My only (...) (20 years ago, 13-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

I have just seen the trailer for this film, it has possibly been on release in the USA for a while, I don't know. But it looks like Crimson Skies has just hit the big screen - blimps and prop planes with huge guns!! Has anyone seen the movie? Is it (...) Having browsed through many great Crimson Skies MOCs I thought it about time I build one of my own. With 4 x 30cal and 1 x 50 cal the (URL) Acer> packs a hefty punch.
