  Re: Pics from ToyFair 2005

(...) Well, naturally ;) "Lar went to Toy Fair and all I got was this lousy Brickshelf gallery..." - j/k! (...) (URL) just one (loaded) question: bley? (...) Actually, I set this particular FUT to .color, for I hope obvious reasons. - Kelly (21 years ago, 20-Feb-05, to lugnet.year.2005)

  Re: Pics from ToyFair 2005

(...) It's for PC, PS2, XBox, and GBA - not the 'cube. Which is what I have, so my boys are likewise miffed. The screenshots and demo movies so far look awesome. (...) Excellent! I saw pix of that a few days ago, I'm so gonna get that one. I'm (...) (21 years ago, 20-Feb-05, to lugnet.year.2005)

(...) Larry, I don't recall pictures like this (from yourself or anyone else) from past Toy Fairs... so just let me say thanks right off the bat for taking and posting these images for us. (1) (...)   Re: Pics from ToyFair 2005

Duh! I forgot what I think is pretty big news. The Thomas rumours are true. He'll be along later this year. In Duplo, but still... hope LEGO didn't have to pay through the nose. And, I saw the long awaited LEGO StarWars game, it's now almost done (...) (21 years ago, 20-Feb-05, to lugnet.year.2005)

  Pics from ToyFair 2005

I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Lego StarWars 2005 V.I.P. Gala event at the LEGO showroom at 25th and Broadway, in NYC, as part of this year's Toy Fair, so naturally I went... I uploaded a bunch of pics to BrickLink. They haven't been (...) (21 years ago, 20-Feb-05, to lugnet.year.2005, lugnet.lego) !!

  Re: New!

(...) Yah, so i guess i shoulda cross-posted to a few more relevant groups as well! 'Cause, although the Harry Potter ship is of Jack Stone (4+ and up age) origin, it's still a nice hull that's in black with gray trim. And the Shark head that fit's (...)   New!

Has anyone else seen this? ...all I can say is “Mermaid!” (URL) yah, and the Star Wars stuff we’ve all seen before: (URL) to me at least, the Harry Potter stuff is new! Is it new to you? --==Richard==-- (21 years ago, 18-Feb-05, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.year.2005, lugnet.harrypotter)

  Wild Hunters (designer set 4884)

Following up Deep Sea Predators, I don't think there has been a Lego set like this one - it is a lion sculpture, almost kitten-sized. This I will buy right away. (URL) with wolf and vulture. (21 years ago, 8-Feb-05, to lugnet.year.2005)

  Re: 2005 retail catalogue

Re: Quick comment on #8644 "Street Maniac"

(...) I am not sure I like the packaging to parts ratio but I gotta say I dig the parts in [LEGOSet 8641] Orange jumpers, Orange tiles, Orange curve top bricks.. yummy! The hoodscoop/superchargerthingie looks sort of ridiculously large but the car (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.year.2005, FTX)

Re: Quick comment on #8644 "Street Maniac"

(...) 8644 is the lightest of the four racers. Mine has occasional hydroplaning where the others don't. The other 3 are heavy enough to create adequate FRICTION with the tabletop. Mousepad works fine for the lightest (8644). Which I think is the (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.year.2005)

Quick comment on #8644 "Street Maniac"

I picked up each of the new 2005 small 'racers' sets at the MOA LIC on Saturday. They're cute sets, but my 8644 is pretty disappointing. When I push it across my desk here at work, two of the wheels don't even turn - they just slide. There is WAY to (...) (21 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.year.2005)

  Vikings?

These were posted at EuroBricks, (URL) but someone put the pics on BrickShelf (thanks!)... (URL) set to castle although arguably vikings predate most castle stuff. There is some discussion at eb already about where these fit and why LEGO decided to (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.year.2005, lugnet.castle, lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates)

  Cool sets

I'm enjoying the new X-Pods. Could only find the light blue and the neon orange so far, but it's only a matter of time. I'm really glad they continued this line. The new "Hot Wheels" racers in the black "garages" are fantastic!!. I was just (...) (21 years ago, 22-Dec-04, to lugnet.year.2005)

Re: Some 2005 sets showing up already in regular stores.

Someone on the website obviously noticed the traffic increase and either pulled the pictures (possibly due to LEGO intervention) or stopped deep linking. Either way, they are gone (21 years ago, 8-Dec-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2005)
