The disc is in the middle lower portion of the picture (light circle shape) with the minifig (darker oval shape) clearly represented in the middle of the disc.

The top of the DVD is facing NWN, and is adjacent to the area where the rover is to egress the platform.

The red, blue and yellow titanium bricks are represented in the tertiary points around the disc.

See www.bricksploration.com for more information and:

Upon receiving these pictures from the Gusev Crater on Mars, the mission director pointed out the LEGO DVD as a clear reference point on the lander.

Simply amazing, and VERY cool indeed!

Sorry for bumping, but...

There are new pictures up on the Mars/Opportunity site (http://marsrovers.jpl.nasa.gov/gallery/all/opportunity_p002.html) and in this one:

http://www.robbking.com/LG/marslego.jpg

you can not only make out the brick/DVD mounting, but you can clearly see the stud pattern, from 300 million miles away.

How cool is that?
