  2001 - The year we don't pay retail
 
Hey Guys, I have a challenge for you for 2001. Do not pay retail for any sets in 2001. This of course does not apply to promo, HTO, or S@H exclusives (you are lucky to get a deal on these items) But what I am aiming for is a year that I do not walk (...) Except for the occasional necessity to finish a project NOW NOW NOW, I haven't bought full-price lego in years. I take advantage of all the BOGO 50% sales, as well as hit the after christmas sales with a vigor as well. It shouldn't be too much of a (...) (24 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

(...) Sure, it's been discussed. The general conclusion in the past has been that we're not a significant enough market segment to make a difference.
