I bought this set recently too and I liked it better than I expected.
Not having seen the aqua-set with the same loading scoop mechanism it
was new to me and I think it works well, especially for younger kids.
The canopy hinges on mine did not pop off as you report, Joseph, so I
don't know how common that problem would be.

The thing I liked best was the large cockpit piece. It did not occur to
me, but my bf said when he saw it "boat stern!" and he's right, it would
make a great stern for the 10-wide non-floating, non-pirate boats
instead of the rectangular stern most of them have. It's on my list of
things to try.

(...) Now that is a great idea! That way, the large cockpit piece is actually useful. The part could probably be used to as a boat bow as well? Apart from the fact that a symmetric boat might look a bit odd. Prior to reading the post, I viewed the (...) (25 years ago, 1-Mar-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.underground)

Klaus is a class II Corporal in the maintenance unit for the substation, Hephaestus' Forge. This morning his duties call him to a lower tunnel where water pipes keep bursting (affecting pressure for lower excavation areas). He parks his vehicle in (...)
