Re: New Interurban/Trolley model, perfect for those downtown scenes

(...) I think the competitions at the shows are a separate issue from the value of the organization itself. The value I see from the NMRA is exposure to the model railroading hobby as a whole, and the potential growth of our segment of the hobby, (...) (24 years ago, 26-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: New Interurban/Trolley model, perfect for those downtown scenes

(...) I'm in the "we don't need the NMRA" Camp too. I'm a member of 2 independent clubs (The Platelayers, and The Gangers) which are members of BRMNA, but BRMNA is far looser a group than NMRA. (as is the UK overgroup, HMRS). Having been to enough (...) (24 years ago, 26-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains.org)

(...) yours will not work for anyone else or even for you after your session/context expires. Deja is making it really hard to give references to particular posts, not like it used to be in the old days before they realised they had to make money. I (...)   Re: New Interurban/Trolley model, perfect for those downtown scenes

(...) One thing I'm curious about is how many of those who feel we don't need to be part of the NMRA have been involved in model railroading outside of LEGO Trains? As a model railroader, and someone who truly hopes that the hobby will continue (...) (24 years ago, 26-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: NALUG Train Show - Mission report

(...) Mine are still not uploaded. I've been busy catching up here, and watching Kevin's videos. I'll let you all know when they are up, but having looked at the other two sets, I doubt there is much extra, although I do have one or two of the (...)   Re: NALUG takes 2nd at Great Edmonton Train Show

(...) Big Red is my fave engine from your group... nice and beefy. Just don't tell me it's 8 wide. LOL. (...) Remember how I said every club needs a Thomas? I'm thinking every club that has the space ought to have a JJMP on their layout. What a (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)

Re: NALUG takes 2nd at Great Edmonton Train Show

(...) Hehe, did I miss you posting YOUR show report? We saw a lot of pictures but not a lot of talk yet. Gotta agree, though, NALUG rocked the place. Nice work guys, especially for an inaugural show. The hits (GMLTC, PNLTC, NGLTC, WAMALUG, (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)

In lugnet.trains, Larry Pieniazek writes: <about my "PCC", of which I am pretty darn proud in case you can't tell> I decided that this model was good enough to submit to the withering gaze of the rec.models.railroad crowd so I posted something.
