At the risk of bad form replying to my own post, I just though of another idea.
Maybe it would be better if clubs sent me their logos and the GMLTC could make
decals and put them on our stock.  This would save on a bunch of shipping costs all
around.  And people wouldn't have to hassle with making their club's decals.  In
fact, we could make extra sheets of logos in all sizes and sell them back to you
for a modest price.  We can do this because our club has recently purchased an ALPS
printer, which is the printer of choice for modelers who create their own decals.
Any thoughts?

Uh, I was just thinking.... we are going to be showing the GMLTC layout in
Carlsbad in July at the Kidvention, which would be possibly be an even more
appropriate place for clubs to show off their stock and logos, since it *is* a
club convention.  Maybe we could have stock mailed to us, and then we could do a
bulk shipment to the PNLTC after our gig.  Just a thought.

[sorry, a pet peeve of mine:  a thread gets so split and groups chat in
parallel resulting in confusion.  I'm tying it all back together.]

Everything here subject to PNLTC member approval (I'm making this up as I go
along).  As follows:
1.  PNLTC would like to stick to 6-wide for uniformity.
2.  any logos on any types of freight cars are fine.  Those of a personal
business nature PNLTC would need to review.
3.  in order to keep from going bust, any help orgs may provide wrt return
postage is appreciated; we may have to make this a polite but firm request.
4.  PNLTC shall assign a WC train manager to accept mailed rolling stock.
5.  anyone globally may be able to handle consist management, namely, which
org is sending what type of car; this person would work with the event's WC
train manager who is the physical wrangler of the stock.
6.  orgs would contact the overall mgr ahead of time and register stock so the
WCTmgr knows what to expect.

OK groundrules?
