The RailRacers(tm) track was a challenge until I brought the lamps in.
After that it worked very well (thanks for all your help, jt)...except for
the occasional driver that decided to race in reverse and backed the train
into their lap. I had blocks on the back end of the track, but they were
not strong enough to stop a train going in full reverse. By the end of the
day, the kids were helping to reassemble the racers when they crashed to the
floor. :-)
I did overhear one visitor comment that I thought I would share with the
community. He was talking to someone on his cell phone saying "You know
those Lego® train displays I showed you on the internet... there's one here!"
We also set a club record for our longest train by placing almost every
piece of rolling stock that we had with us behind two 10020's with one motor
each. Counting the locomotives, we had 45 cars on the train.
