		SpeedRail TGV Thalys
Hi all, Ran across some photos of this train ((URL) 1>, (URL) 2>, (URL) 3>, (URL) 4>) the other day and thought it rather neat: a Thalys TGV in different colours. (...) That would seem to be correct, but you're forgetting that if you put big wheels on the battery motor, and connect it to a 9V motor with its small wheels, they'll try to go at different speeds (assuming, as has been suggested, that the motor (...) (19 years ago, 12-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains)

(...) I did, I started out with 4.5v, and moved to 9v when it came out. What I don't understand is the decision to produce a $100+ set whith this new technology, as a first kit.
