| (...) Hi Mattias, Thanks. Here's the (URL) MPD>. Hopefully it all works out as it is in the CAD. It will give you a warning as it loads but just let it keep loading and it will be fine. MLCad can't understand its own meta-commands... Tim (18 years ago, 29-Dec-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

| (...) Are those Mathis models POV-Ray renders done by James himself or are the folks who do lego.com using LDraw tools? They definitely don't look like renders from LDD. Or maybe they were done with TLG's own rendering system? (like most new box (...) (18 years ago, 21-Dec-06, to lugnet.trains)

| (...) This looks pretty good, and I hope it's going to expand. I did send them a message though that the link to "Other users' train designs" gives some pretty poor results. A lot of the good stuff has dropped off the end. They need to link to 'Cool (...) (18 years ago, 20-Dec-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.lego.direct)

| (...) This reminds me of the modeling dilemma I faced when I first started building Thomas characters in LEGO-- do I model the prototype upon which the character was based, or do I try and faithfully model the character itself? I ended up deciding (...) (18 years ago, 27-Dec-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

At this point I am forced to admit that nearly everything I know about trains comes from "I've Been Working on the Railroad" and "The Little Red Caboose," with additional blanks filled in by Thomas the Tank Engine. I wouldn't even have known (...) (18 years ago, 25-Dec-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

| (...) it (...) Hi John, I'm fine, although yesterday was the last day of my summer hollidays... Since I do own much more 12V stuff than 9V (especially track), I will let this engine be a 12V version. But I really think about painting a 9V motor in (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jul-00, to lugnet.trains)

This looks a great idea and much simpler than making new metal flanges (as in the 9v motor) I don't actually run my stuff very much/far to I think it would be hardwearing enough for my purposes although I would imagine the 'round the flange' (...) Scince I already plan to make solid metal wheels, I was thinking of drilling the center wheel larger on one side, and using an insulating insert. And (...)
