Wow, that's funny I've been working on a similar idea. I want to make a few
models of the local transit trains in Atlanta (MARTA), and they are tapered
at the top and bottom. with the windows tilting in a bit. It's more like the
middle of the coach bulges out. I might have to pick that project back up
and see if we come up with similar results, I'm not sure I like the look of
the hinged side panels for what I'm working on, the trains are very smooth
and plane, the ridges wouldn't look right.

| This is a great project. Good idea, Steve and JT. I've been delaying even prototyping Acela coaches, for this dual tapered issue is applicable to the Acela train coaches, too, and I hadn't thought of anything short of severely hinge-piece and 1x2 (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.trains)
