Hi all,

my first MOC is online!! See pictures on my brichshelf gallery on

I build a 8-wide telescope-railway crane by the German Crane Company • "Gottwald"
from Duesseldorf. The original will lift 100 tons!!

Brilliant! Now that is a fine looking piece of hardware.

The LEGO model contains following interesting facts:

- turnable upper car (360°)
- inline pneumatic to lift the boom
- 9V micromotor to lift the cable
- telescopable counterwight
- the boom is 3-wide an could pulled out by hand
- supporting car carring all the small bits and pieces, e.g. "hook" to fix
tracks to the crane.

Some pictures of the crane in action will follow soon!

I can hardly wait!

The second version has yellow antennas instead of gray and a complete yellow
counterwight. The boom needs to be yellow too.

What do you think about it?

I'd very much like to see more pictures, with the crane in various positions of
use. So far though I like it very much, especially the 'feel' of the cab, the
way it's tucked in right up next to that ginormous boom.

With all the cranes popping up in .trains lately surely SOMEBODY will build
something that needs lifting? ;^)

Cheers,
Kevin.
