2126 Missing Pieces?

I received a couple of 2126 (http://www.lugnet.com/pause/search/?query=2126)
sets this week and assembled the first one last night. This is the first
LEGO set that I have had that is missing pieces. It is missing two (a black
ladder and a black 1x4 plate with hinge fingers) and has a few extra pieces
(black 1x2 brick with grooves, 1x4 black plate, and a yellow 1x2 Technic
brick w/ one hole). Anybody else encountered missing pieces with this set?
Now I guess I'll have to open the other one to see if it has the same
problem (which I doubt it will).

| (...) the black 1x2 brick hinges, there were two male pieces and no female. I went through 8 sets and ended with 7 female and 9 male. Weird, kinda. At least it wasn't a really rare piece replaced with a common one, like a glass 1x4x5 left door (...) (24 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)
