Re: 10219 Maersk Container train set —Timothy Gould
(...) We all want to be bigger, John. Tim PS. Been ages since we had a good size war here :) (13 years ago, 25-Jan-11, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: 10219 Maersk Container train set —Chris Gray
(...) Well, there *is* a very practical reason to run some stuff 8 wide. An 8 wide hopper is big enough that you can put last year's cheap Halloween candy in it, and let kids carefully grab some from the train. Either let them get it from the slowly (...)          Re: 10219 Maersk Container train set —David Eaton
(...) You're a braver man than I. As I think about it, though, that's a totally cool idea! Imagine if you could get it to be some sort of automated hopper delivery system... Put a trigger on the side of the train that opens up the hopper as it goes (...) (13 years ago, 25-Jan-11, to lugnet.trains)

candy and ***** size: was Re: 10219 Maersk Container train set —Timothy Gould
(...) That was pretty close to what I thought when I read the post. Extra fun for all! Tim PS. Although a real man with no need for compensation would do it in 6w. (13 years ago, 25-Jan-11, to lugnet.trains)

Re: candy and ***** size: was Re: 10219 Maersk Container train set —David Eaton
(...) I'm suddenly reminded of "Name That Tune". Except in LEGO studs: "I can build that train in 6 studs!" "I can build it in 4 studs!" "Ok, build that train!" DaveE (13 years ago, 26-Jan-11, to lugnet.trains)

Re: candy and ***** size: was Re: 10219 Maersk Container train set —Cale Leiphart
(...) I can build that train in 8 studs. Because 8 is better. (URL) Cale (13 years ago, 26-Jan-11, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: candy and ***** size: was Re: 10219 Maersk Container train set —Chris Gray
(...) We've actually had surprisingly little trouble. We do have a loose rope barrier around the layout, and we always have a group member at the "grabbing" spots. In fact, we usually have to invite the kids to grab candy. Some are fairly picky (...) (13 years ago, 27-Jan-11, to lugnet.trains)

Re: candy and ***** size: was Re: 10219 Maersk Container train set —Timothy Gould
(...) --snip-- (...) I'd just like to highlight that the cool ideas were Dave Eaton's, not mine. Wrong post quoted ;) Tim (13 years ago, 29-Jan-11, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10219 Maersk Container train set —John Neal
(...) Well, some of us are big enough-- at least, that's what she said! (...) lol, it's too bad that I'm not further along with my 14 wides, because when I get rolling, I'll be ramping up the rhetoric BIG time! JOHN (13 years ago, 25-Jan-11, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: 10219 Maersk Container train set —Larry Pieniazek
(...) You maybe should get Ross to build them. Less talk, more build. (13 years ago, 25-Jan-11, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

Re: 10219 Maersk Container train set —John Neal
(...) Actually, I have built them: (URL) HERE>, (URL) HERE>, (URL) HERE>, (URL) HERE>, and a few others which I have yet to photograph. I'm not really going public with it until I finish a few locos. So there. JOHN (13 years ago, 26-Jan-11, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)
