First up is my horse car (aka cattle car). While the black car is old, the two yellow cars are brand new. While I liked the design from the start, such cars were vanishing from the road by the 1940’s (the era when most of my models start). I’ve been working towards a 1910 era freight train and so now I could justify building a few more. ...

Hi Benn,

Superb work as usual. The use of those fences for the horse cars is extremely clever.

Now for a request... would it be possible for you to upload a nice clear photo of any of these MOCs with a clean background? I’d love to blog some of your stuff on Brother’s Brick but we really need clean photos to give the post the punch it deserves.

Thanks,

Tim

Thanks for the kind words Tim. I must say “Doh!” for not giving credit on the fences. I would agree that it was a clever idea, but not mine. I borrowed it from a picture of Dan Siskind’s work.

I’m sure we’ve all done it. It’s a great idea regardless of its origins.

It will be a couple of weeks before I can photograph the new creations on a plain background (I’m rarely able to get to the Lego, and even less so during daylight hours). It will probably be comparable to my more recent “studio work,” e.g., as can be found in my NP folder. A little rough, but keeps the focus on the model. I’ll let you know when they are up, as I have a few more backlogged MOCs up my sleeve.

Benn

Hi Benn,

Might I suggest investing in an A2 or larger piece of white card. It’s easier to move than a sheet and gives a cleaner background. Please do let me know when the new photos are up.

Tim
