Well it had been a slow couple of weeks for new train MoCs, but I see that trend
has already changed in the last few days. And now here I am to add my 2c to the
pile. Im slowly clearing through my backlog of creations and getting them up to
brickshelf.
First up is my horse
car (aka cattle car). While the black car is old, the two yellow cars are brand
new. While I liked the design from the start, such cars were vanishing from the
road by the 1940s (the era when most of my models start). Ive been working
towards a 1910 era freight train and so now I could justify building a few more.
Next up, a couple of additional pieces of equipment for my
Empire Builder. A NP
NCL coach and a BN passenger F (complete with hockey stick). Now I can make the
BN passenger trains (all two years of them) and combine my GN equipment with the
Zephyr.
My first Lego bricks were the giant Samsonite beginners set bricks and I still
have a fondness for them. So I had to put a few of the
Samsonite bricks on
flatcars. Funny thing was, at NMRA 07 several AFOLs were asking are those
Lego? As I write this, I realize that I have another flatcar I need to take a
photo of, but more on that when I have it in hand.
And did you happen to see those
GP20s? (okay, just
two new photos of an old MOC, but a very fine MOC that got lost in the shuffle
of about 10 other MOCs I released at the same time)

| (...) Hi Benn, Superb work as usual. The use of those fences for the horse cars is extremely clever. Now for a request... would it be possible for you to upload a nice clear photo of any of these MOCs with a clean background? I'd love to blog some (...)
