Hi all,
Ive noticed a few queries lately on various bogie/truck designs and decided to
make this thread to keep track of what people have done. Just post pictures of
any bogie or truck designs you have that you think other people may be
interested in. To get things started heres one Ive used (and Matt H has
modified):
MPD
These should be suitable for US stock in the rather compressed scale favoured
by a lot of 6-widers.
Please do post more 1
Tim
1 Im looking at John Neal and Cale Leiphart in particular since I know you
have yours already available ;)

Here are mine, Tim.
They were inspired by your design.

Here is my freight truck design.
The side frame detail was borrowed from John Neal. In order to get better
running performance I used a short piece of
1/8 brass tubing
inserted through the 1x1 light clip plates to act as an axle bearing.

With some lubrication it rolls pretty good. Its not a pure LEGO solution but it
works well and looks good so I can live with it.
Ive also been working recently on a more American style passenger truck.
This one uses the brass tubing as a bearing as well. Both these designs are
intended for 8 wide cars,
Cale

Heres another one from me (from the Love Missile). Im not 100% certain it
works but figure its more than likely. The connection to the magnet may be too
weak for use in a long train.

SNIP
Hidden motor for a smaller Co-Co setup:

Funkier bogies for box cars, which can swing up and down thanks to the hook+rod
arrangement:

And my latest and current favourite, the bogie for an RS-1 Im making, using
Scimiters and 3x3 technic discs:

This one was designed for a stand-alone display model so it probably cant go
around corners, but bringing the wheels closer together will fix that issue.

Heres my three axle truck, designed for the LDD palette. It is more functional
than decorative. The middle axle floats to make the curves easier. Ive built a
few and they seem to work well. One change from whats posted, for each of the
door rails Ive added a pair of 1x1 plates on the side and a 1x4 plate below to
strengthen the bond. Oh, and Id make the gray tiles black given a larger
palette.

Its annoying enough when you forget to post in a relavent thread, its even
more annoying when you started the thread...
Another design from me at http://news.lugnet.com/trains/?n=30577.

Heres one. Its an NA pasenger truck. The MPD and 2 axel varients are in my
brickshelf folder: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=311465
Bothe end axels float. But changing it to a single end floating works fine as
well. And you could replace a 2x2 end tile withe a coupler.
