1 I’m looking at John Neal and Cale Leiphart in particular since I know you have yours already available ;)

Here is my freight truck design.

The side frame detail was borrowed from John Neal. In order to get better running performance I used a short piece of 1/8” brass tubing inserted through the 1x1 light clip plates to act as an axle bearing.

With some lubrication it rolls pretty good. It’s not a pure LEGO solution but it works well and looks good so I can live with it.

I’ve also been working recently on a more American style passenger truck.

This one uses the brass tubing as a bearing as well. Both these designs are intended for 8 wide cars,

Cale
