If I understand correctly, the Santa Fe Super Chief and BNSF locos have never
been removed from the European Shop at Home site. Apparently, as I have been
told by a LEGO store employee I talked to recently, LEGO has fixed product life
cycles, and staggered release dates. Because the US was given the opportunity
to buy the BNSF and Super Chief before Europe, we lost the sets before Europe
will.
This is why just days before the BNSF was re-released this last time I was in
serious negotiations with someone in Europe who could be the set on my behalf
and ship it to me.
