I have just finished my third version of the 36 Axel Schnabel Car. This is more
realistic looking than my last one. Real one can be seen here.

A bigger, longer, beefy-er transport I cannot imagine!
Pushing the limits of length is quite a feat.

The white accent on the trucks serves the overall look very well, and gives
detail to what would otherwise unbalance the model.  I like the smooth red tile
for the bracing structure, but that seems to conflict with the studs on the
black plates.  I think I understand that topping of with black tiles would
"thicken" the appearance of the pivots and platforms, so I can't really suggest
the change.  You've captured the cabins well with inverse windscreen, but here I
think the roof-tops on the cabins would benefit from a bit of smooth tiles and
maybe a little greebling...if appropriate for the cab roof.

Great job on the new version.  It really does look the task!

James,
Thanks for your comments. The white trucks are what motivated me to build this.
I used the tile on the bracing structure because it tapered from 6 studs to 4
studs and this looked better. The black plates are decks and so I left them as
is so I can put minifigs on them. I looked at the pics of the real thing and do
not see anything sticking up from the cabins so I will just add tile to them as
per your suggestion.
Thanks,
Bruce
