  10183 postponed?

Set 10183 has been postponed, at least in the Netherlands...? Not the 19th like it was originally promised but the 23rd of March... (17 years ago, 19-Mar-07, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 10183 postponed?

(...) I don't think that I'm revealing any secrets by saying that yes, it is true 10183 has been delayed a few days. I don't know the details, but apparently the hold up is due to the printed instructions for the main model. I also just noticed that (...) (17 years ago, 20-Mar-07, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 10183 postponed?

(...) That's rather drastic, to take down a website for more than a day! A few hours I've seen many times before (for example Apple) but more than a day? :-D Greetz, Anton (17 years ago, 20-Mar-07, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 10183 postponed?

(...) The website is back up, and LDD 2.0 is now available! Cheers! (URL) -Jordan (17 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad.ldd)

Re: more bricks in online P@B (WAS: 10183 postponed?)

(...) The price of red train doors just dropped significantly! I have been watching this on BrickLink and red trains doors usually run anywhere from $4-$8, the left hand doors being more expensive. Now they are $0.32 a piece! I already purchased a (...) (17 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Re: 10183 postponed?

(...) Unfortunately, LDD 2.0 no longer runs on earlier versions of Windows. LDD 1.6 ran quite happily under Windows 2000, but the new version crashes as soon as you place a brick. It's also a bit mean to write off all the previously uploaded models. (...) (17 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd, lugnet.trains)

  Re: 10183 postponed?

(...) On the plus side, it does seem to run on older hardware. I could only run 1.6 on my wife's laptop which she bought last year. Last night, I was able to install and run 2.0 on my 5+ year old machine. -Elroy (17 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Re: 10183 postponed?

(...) :: snip :: (...) I share Jason's sentiment - I wish they would have kept compatibility with all but the most recent versions of Windows. I guess the software people decided that was the best thing to do. But it does pose an inconvenience for (...) (17 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Re: 10183 postponed?

(...) Actually, from my fooling around with the software so far, I can say that there is some compatability between LDD 1,6 and LDD 2,0. When you try to load a file created with version 1,6 with version 2,0 it asks you if you want to try to import (...) (17 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Re: 10183 postponed?

(...) Well, it seems I may have spoken too soon. By going through and updating all of my drivers (I suspect the graphics card driver was the critical one) I've been able to get it to run on my Windows 2000 Pro machine. It freezes occasionally when (...) (17 years ago, 23-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)
