  More Pictures from GWLTS-IV

This is my picture library from the GWLTC display in the STEAM Railway Museum back in October. I went off to LegoWorld immediately after and forgot to point out these pictures. Thanks to Martin Long and Mark Palmer for the use of a tripod to get (...) (18 years ago, 15-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

  Re: Dave on the telly...

How about, how did you and Chris first meet? :-) I think some questions about ways an adult fan can find other adult fans in the area. ie lugnet, LEGOFan ect. What other sorts of events adult groups hold. ie, Hobby Show, Robotics events, Train (...) (18 years ago, 14-Nov-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.trains)

  Dave on the telly...

This Thursday, on Mississauga Rogers Cable Channel (local to, well, Misssissauga), I'll be on the tube for a 10 minute bit regarding the upcoming Train Show at the International Centre, the LEGO train hobby, and LEGO in general. I'm supposte to (...) (18 years ago, 14-Nov-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.trains)

Re: A well known switcher in 8 studs

(...) <snip> (...) Excellent work; I love seeing remakes with a twist. In this case, I really think your MOC shows off the advantage of building 8 wide-- it really helps "sell" the idea of a switcher. Well done. JOHN (18 years ago, 14-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

A well known switcher in 8 studs

Hi, Some times ago, I rebuilt the well known 7760 set 12V Switcher in 8 studs (can be put on a 9V or 12V motor as you want). I have finally uploaded the image in my BS galery as well as the MLCAD. (URL) The cab of the loco in a straight 8 studs (...) (18 years ago, 14-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: VO-660 in SEABOARD livery

(...) Very nice, Tim. Takes me back a few years when I was WAY into building switchers. With all of the new colors and elements available these days, it is worthwhile to revisit them. Actually, I've one half-finished sitting on my shelf of (...) (18 years ago, 13-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  New Home for the TCLTC

I should have done this 5 years ago when I (URL) announced> the formation of the TCLTC, and I probably would have if Todd had already instituted FTX at that time, but better late than never. Actually, I had set up the web site on MOCpages, but was (...) (18 years ago, 13-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains.org.tcltc, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org, FTX)

  Re: VO-660 in SEABOARD livery

(...) Tim, There's a lot to like about this engine! I really dig the livery, but it is your headlight design that I like most. A very clever and sleek look (with that 1x3 slope behind it). I also noticed those axes on your wheel coverings. Slick! (...) (18 years ago, 13-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  VO-660 in SEABOARD livery

Hi all, After seeing Jeramy Spurgeon's excellent (URL) NW2> I decided to have a look at some US switchers (as a quick glance at my trains folder will tell you I don't often do stuff from NA) to see if there were any I liked. Sure enough I saw the (...) (18 years ago, 13-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

(2 URLs) M>ltc displayed our current layout at the Langwarrin Train Show on November 11 and 12. It was a great show, and the layout was well received.   Re: MOC: "Retro Factory" Motorail Terminal

(...) <snip> (...) This is some great work. I still love the '80's town sets and admire their simplicity (as compared to the larger scale MOCs that are popular in the theme today). It's nice to see someone working in this way. I especially enjoyed (...) (18 years ago, 11-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Monon EMD NW2

(...) The NW2 is sweet. Lots of nice details. As for the Fairbanks Morse I'm looking forward to it. The FM switchers are some of my favorite diesel locomotives. Here is my humble attempt at an H10-44 in Frisco colors. (URL) Cale (18 years ago, 11-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Monon EMD NW2

(...) Thanks Chris, I'll be heading back to the build table tonight to start my next engine, either a the C420 or one of my favorites, an FM H10-44 (of which the Monon only had one unit). -Jeramy (18 years ago, 10-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Monon EMD NW2

(...) Thanks John! It's actually tan, which is the closest I could come to the real color, gold. The 2x4 bricks in the recent anniversary buckets would be the closest match, but there isn't a big variety of pieces to work with. -Jeramy (18 years ago, 10-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
