A way to overcome the problem of the offset studs on top of the brackets would be placing a (URL) Slope 65 2 x 2 x 2 Smooth without Bottom Tube> over each of them (vertical face outwards) With friendly greetings, M. Moolhuysen. (18 years ago, 28-Jun-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) Oh, right. Second read I realized what you meant. Here is a crude 7-wide shell built on a 6x28 train baseplate. It uses the 1x2 Technic bricks with 2-holes, the Technic Axle with stud at one end, and Technic Bushings to locate the SNOT 2x2 (...) (18 years ago, 29-Jun-06, to lugnet.trains)
