Re: Anime inspired container train for Soren Roberts containers

Wow, Timmy G, I was hoping I'd hate this train, but I have to say that it is excellent, and worthy of Soren's containers. I really dig the color scheme you chose for the engine. Do me a favor and post that Rusty Duck moc so that I can fire another (...) (19 years ago, 30-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) That locomotive is beautiful. Have you built it in real bricks? I may build something quite similar if the articulation works well- the wheel covers look like they might be a bit close to the grey center section but I'm not experience enough (...)   Re: 9V Train Motor Being Discontinued?

(...) Having not actually used the new trains, some of this is conjecture. Running one for a weekend on a layout first will give me a better perspective. But.. From what I have seen, I doubt they would be suitable replacements for the existing (...) (19 years ago, 30-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Way to go making trains cool (ie. spacey). You are a real asset to the community. You've got me hatching plans for some sort of walking container handler now. If only I could step away from the computer for an evening or two... Allister (19 years ago, 29-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

LEGO Name Badge Kit with 1x1 Printed Tiles

I ran across something interesting at my local LEGO store, and had to pick it up: a make-it-yourself Key Chain Name Kit. It contains 73 pieces (59 of which are 1x1 black tiles with letters printed in silver) and retails for USD$4.99. (URL) The first (...)   Re: Trevor the steam traction engine

(...) That's cool, Mathew! I used a similar technique for my steam tractor, but I think yours looks better. Only the boiler on mine is SNOT, although the front axle is studs-down, to allow it to steer. And I used slices of bike inner tube for the (...) (19 years ago, 29-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

This is pretty neat and spacey. Is the .dat available somewhere from you for download? I'd like to build my own version someday. -Stefan- (19 years ago, 29-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
