It's been 4 years since I worked on the Super Chief Cars for TLG. I've been extremely pleased to see the parts fit into a great many MOC across multiple themes. (...) I have a similar setup for my sons room. Good for storing trains. But hard for a kid to see from the ground. (...) First off, I use speaker wire. It's ideal for the apllication. I've even popped open the 9v connectors, and replaced the wire for longer runs. (...) Sadly those wheels are too big, being 8ft diameter to scale. I did consider the wheels from the bar code truck (part 6595), though I have them only in white and light bley so far. The M-10000 has been on my "to build" list for years. I have finally started putting the ideas that I had to brick. The result is still a work in progress.
