Re: Hogwarts Express train - collaboration with James Mathis

--SNIP-- (...) Whoops! For some reason I thought those gears were eight wide. Tim (19 years ago, 23-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Hogwarts Express train - collaboration with James Mathis

(...) Sadly those wheels are too big, being 8ft diameter to scale. I did consider the wheels from the bar code truck (part 6595), though I have them only in white and light bley so far. I've also experimented with model team wheels with tyres. The (...) (19 years ago, 23-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Union Pacific M-10000 MOC

(...) Tim, Thanks for the comments. The picture I posted is black and white to hide some of the off colored parts I have had to temporarily use. The real train under went a few changes in its' life, as most do. I am trying to model it as delivered - (...) (19 years ago, 23-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Union Pacific M-10000 MOC

(...) Very slick Bob. You've got the curved shape down very well. I was looking at this model this morning on BS and thinking it was nice. I'm curious as to why you did the front grille in grey instead of black or dark grey though. Tim (19 years ago, 23-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Union Pacific M-10000 MOC

The M-10000 has been on my "to build" list for years. I have finally started putting the ideas that I had to brick. The result is still a work in progress. I have a couple of Bricklink orders on the way. Here is one picture: (URL) information: (URL) (...) (19 years ago, 23-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.announce.moc)

Re: Hogwarts Express train - collaboration with James Mathis

(...) Guilty as charged. Except that you've failed to account for the fun involved in rivet counting:-) (...) It was a fun and unique design exploration, and appreciated! JOHN (19 years ago, 23-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: New Images of 2006 Trains

(...) This was bugging me as well, so I tried a few things in TrackDraw and came up with this: (URL) 8 straights, 20 curves, one left and one right point. It *nearly* works. There is about a stud overlap on the top right corner. I doubt that this is (...) (19 years ago, 23-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Hogwarts Express train - collaboration with James Mathis

Hi Mark, (...) I don't but CAD does. I figure those parts are appearing everywhere now so it's only a matter of time before Brickilink reflects their true value. (...) Carriages look good although I don't like the gears too much. Have you thought (...) (19 years ago, 22-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Hogwarts Express train - collaboration with James Mathis

(...) Is that just super-affluence of red curved slopes or was the carriage affected by a passing dementor? :-) Anyway, to compare notes, here's a link to my 8mm scale Hogwarts Express, a scale model of the Hall class engine (5972 Olton Hall) used (...)
