  Replacement Wire

Hi, Does anyone know if phone or thermostat wire is a suitable or (more importantly) safe replacement for the 9v train wire? If not, anyone know what I can use? I am running 45 feet of track in a loop and I want to run additional wires from the (...) (19 years ago, 19-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: A Steamer with a Boiler that actually is Round

(...) --SNIP-- (URL) Macaroni love> ;) Although not the first use of macaroni the combination of the curve bricks and macaroni to make 'circles' with studs at the top is quite neat. What I really like about this MOC is the 1x1x2/3 slopes at the top (...) (19 years ago, 19-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

A Steamer with a Boiler that actually is Round

A Steamer with a Boiler that actually is Round ===...=== (URL) Macaroni bricks seem like a good choice for modelling the boiler of a steamer, except that it isn't obvious how to fasten the domes and stuff that are supposed to be on top of it.   Re: WAG-7 Class

(...) I like it! You have captured the locomotive very well, and it has grown on me the more I have looked at it. I would be hard-pressed to call it "beautiful", though: the prototype feels to me as something of a freak-showish monster: An electric (...)   Re: Railcar slash Woodlouse

(...) Hi Martin, That is exactly what I meant and I think it's a big improvment. One more suggestion ;) Did you look at changing the curved edges to a 1x1x2/3 slope? That might work even better although it might be worse. I can't believe you've (...) (19 years ago, 17-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Warren, Have you tried it with the doors? Not to mention using the tops with the door cut-out would require less copies of the set. SteveB (...) (19 years ago, 17-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: McCoy's 7893 Airlplane Train Conversion

That works! The new ICE could have a similar look when stretched and with more coaches. I have plans for this same conversation... it might be my first 8-wide!!! Sooooo.... what to do with the extra wings; BUWPs! SteveB (...) (19 years ago, 17-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains)
