Me, too.

I also noticed a new part variant I didn't know about. I have several sliding
wheel bricks. From sets 162 and 727 and many I got without a set, but this 721
locomotive has a different type. The ones I had clicked onto the power pickup
bricks (for 12V trains) or sliding wheel block holder bricks (for push trains
and 4.5V trains). The 721 set I bought had the sliding wheel blocs hanging in
loose without a click, kept in place by the baseplate. Although I had some of
these old 6x22 train baseplates without buffers, I haven't had any complete set
with that baseplate, until now. Now I know where that round thing is for at the
bottom. It is to keep the sliding wheel blocks on its place. The newer trainbase
(like in sets 162 and 727) don't have that round thing at the bottom. The
sliding wheel blocks are kept in place by clicking onto the holder bricks.
The old trainbaseplate can be used with the newer (clicked) sliding wheel
blocks, but the newer trainbaseplate can't be used with the old sliding wheel
blocks (they will fall out).

Have you been aware, that not only the sliding wheel block is differing but the
power pick ups are doing as well? The very early 12V stuff looks totally
different in comparison to the somewhat later one and will not fit the "set 107"
motor design.

Yes, I am aware of these. I have several of each.

I have several copies of the blue wagon 131. The instructions show one left door
(the other door is not clearly visible). Most of my copies came with right
doors. None of them were MISB, so they could have been rebuild without taking
care of the type of the door.

??
Is this a joke or am I missing something? I always thought these were symmetric?
You decide the way how to mount the door in its frame. You may choose left or
right (at least when you are talking about the 3x1x4 door).

I'm talking about the red 1x2x3 door (part number 32 and 33).
The set inventory at peeron includes 2 left doors (part 32)
I just checked the set inventory at bricklink, which includes 1 left door (part
32) and one right door (part 33).
To make this set even more confusing, the set inventory at peeron includes 6 red
1x2x2 windows (part 7026), while the set invertory at bricklink includes 6 Red
Window 1 x 2 x 2 (old type) with extended lip (part 7026a).
The photograph on the instructions and the instruction images show the version
without extended lip.
All my four copies (none MISB) had the windows without extended lip, although
one of them had 1 window with extended lip and 5 without.

P.S. that the peeron inventory includes my name at the bottom was that I
corrected other parts in the inventory, not the doors being left or right.

Niels
