| (...) Oh, very much so! Even steam locomotive drivers (in most US prototypes I'm aware of) are held in place by gravity, much less individual freight car trucks. But they have a bit more weight to work with. Most model railroad models don't use this (...) (20 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.trains)
