Hello all. I came up with a nice little power poll I wanted to share with you. (URL) have full instructions and the MlCad file. Enjoy. Dave www.GPLR.org (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Hey Dave, it'd make a great telephone poll too! I like the detailing, but IMO its too thick for fig scale. Have you considered using technic/system rods instead? Thanks! Legoswami (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Why don't we take a poll? We could call it a "pole poll"! I think that real poles tend to be about the size of a person's head, and thus 1x1 rounds are a bit too small and 2x2 rounds a bit too big, and minifig heads a bit too wavy (it waves in (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

The SPLTC has used something similar in the past (URL) (located along the lower edge of the picture - ours were without the transformer, which is a nice touch BTW) and the scale looked fine. Ray SPLTC www.SPLTC.org (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Looks very good. I was about to add the following: Too bad LEGO hasn't made (URL) in brown. But LEGO has in the Destroyer Droid. It wouldn't solve the scale issue (although, I don't think that there is one), but the pole would be smooth. Chris (20 years ago, 20-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Thats a great part, I hadnt thought about using that. Although you would have to get creative at the top. You would have to invert the whole top section. Dave www.GPLR.org (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

(...) That would work although it would alow for the whole top to spin around. Those half pegs dont have much of a friction hold. Dave www.GPLR.org (20 years ago, 22-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

(...) I think that technic piston heads would have the correct scale. They're only slightly smaller than fig heads, which is basically the preferred scale, as Larry mentioned. No idea how you would stack them with valid connection points though..... (...) (20 years ago, 22-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

(...) For that scale I am sure there are some LEGO Pen elliments that would work. But IMHO I think the 1x1 rounds are the right scale for Mini-Figs. Dave (20 years ago, 22-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Try the blue pill. Er, the blue ones. I think they have more friction, IIRC. BTW I personally think that the 1x1 round is a fine scale. I was being the devil's advocate. Minifigs have fat heads anyway! (20 years ago, 22-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)
